Excellent post, Yvonne. It’s natural to feel down during the tough times, and there’s no shame in that. But rather than giving in to despair, it’s better to focus on building our capacity for tolerating those negative feelings. It’s tough, but it is possible. Many spiritual traditions can help, as can secular psychotherapy and meditational practices.
