3 Day Quote Challenge – Fear

“Men often hate each other because they fear each other

`Dr. Martin Luther King

My perspective of Day 1 – Fear: Oftentimes it is the differences of

others we fear. It’s the fear of the unknown.

April Sutton of “April Sutton’s Perspective” provides nuggets of truth.

Her blog insight is filled with wisdom. Although a new connection

of mine, April is supportive of my blog and nominated me

for the 3-day challenge. I love quotes and often refer to them as

personal mantras.

The rules for this quote challenge are as follows:

•Post one quote each day for 3 days.

•A theme for each day would be nice (although not necessary)

•Nominate 3 blogs to pick up the challenge and pass on…

•Don’t forget to let your nominees know on their blog…

The Enemy is Fear

Children are fearless.

Their innocence is pure.

What is feared by some-

children see no harm.

What is feared by some-

children show reverence.

What is feared by some-

children adore.

What is feared by some-

children see no difference.

Only when one is led into the dark path of the unknown …

hate and fear are birth.

There, we learn to discriminate because of the differences we fear.

There, we determine if those differences are either good or bad.

The differences we fear are the unknowns.

The Lost at Sea

The Lost at Sea

At the sea lost-

gushing winds howled

from the treacherous waves.

Sails forced to change its course-

fought against the raging sea.

Already gripped with fear-

those aboard the seafaring ship

boisterous waves threatened to overtake.

Fighting against the ravaging sea ghosts

seeking to claim their souls-

turbulent waves begin to cease

calmly surrendering them to safe.
