It’s Monday, So What?

“It’s Monday,” a co-worker said.

“How was your weekend?,” she asked.

“It was nice, all my weekends are nice,” I replied.

I do not have bad Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays,

and Thursdays either. Haven’t had them in years.

The reason why?

I’ve learned not to view my experiences according to

a particular day.

A “not so” pleasant day can occur any day of the week,

it does not define day nor control my temperament.

It’s only an experience.

So, how is your day going?

My Monday is fine.

I hope the same for you.

Enjoy a week filled with love, peace, and happiness.

Anger Management 101 – Take Control

Angry

anger

Anger, we all express our emotions,

and anger is one emotion we experience time-to-time.

But, holding on to anger is like having a trash container

and allowing its toxin to contaminate your soul …

Staying angry with someone holds the other person

hostage in your mind.

The problem is you are the one bound-

you can’t allow other thoughts in

Face anger. Don’t let it become your adversary.

Own your feelings, and do not let it become an occupant.

Don’t allow anger to push you to its limit by causing you

to become what angers you.

But, realize, not all outbursts of anger are easily controlled.

Understand, some forms of anger are sociological, neurological,

psychological related and affects the neural mechanism.

Keep in mind, hurt people generally hurt people.

So, if you need anger management, get help, don’t stay mad.

Find ways to let go of the minor things that disturb you before

they gradually become a major nuisance.

Remember, nothing last always, whatever is causing your

displeasure face and deal with it.

Take the High Road

high-low-roads.jpg

Disclaimer: I am an idealist by proclamation, but don’ let that mislead you to think I’m not in touch with reality.  I seek the good over the bad. I rather look for the positive instead of the negative. When I see obstacles, I seek ways to adapt and overcome them instead of remain in them. I rather be happy than sad anytime. I am an encourager, not a discourager. I uplift instead of tear down. I won’t join your pity party, but I’ll invite you to my upbeat party.  I see hope, not an impossibility. I am on a peaceful journey, not a downtrodden journey. This is a stress-free zone. It is a no parking zone for unloading anger, hatred, or bitterness.  This blog zone is taking the high road.  If you are looking for the low road, it’s to the right.

Life is Fleeting

Life is Fleeting

Fleeting

Enjoy life-

embrace its grace.

Capture it in a snapshot

before its fleeting moment.

Capture the silhouettes of today-

they’re glimpses of time passed.

Tomorrow’s images

tantalizes fulfillment, so

Capture young hearts

while they laugh, and

Capture the old at heart

while they reminisce-

in a few flashes,

laughter of children vanish,

veils are lifted and

old hearts return to dust.

Capture the memories of happiness-

before happiness surrenders to sadness.

Capture the gift of life,

for life is temporal-

Capture life’ presence-

because in its appointed time

it crumbles to the Earth.

Capture life’s journey

and all its milestones-

for there will come a day

life will meet its unwelcome foe
