Perceptions

I’m going to stand here until I can get someone to stop.

My feet are tired, and I’m tired of walking these streets.

If I can get Tom, Harry, or someone to stop,

then I’ll be on my way.

Well, I’ve been here about thirty-minutes.

I know I’ve walked around this block

at least three times.

I can’t stand here all day.

I’ve already wasted time and money.

Finally, looks like someone coming over,

oh I don’t believe it, he’s heading another way.

Sir, please, can you come over?

He acts like he doesn’t hear me.

Well, lucky for me, there’s

another one walking away.

What’s wrong with these people?

Is it the shoes or socks I’m wearing?

If I can get at least one person to stop,

I will be well on my way.

At last, finally, someone has decided to stop.

Looks like they’re heading my way.

Thank you for stopping.

I’ve been here on this

busy street for awhile.

Sir, I lost my cellphone, I’m lost.

Can you tell me how to get to Windsor Street?

I’m late for my modeling assignment.

(We are often judged in society by stereotypes.  Perception can distort and prohibit authentic social interaction. Perception blinds individuals from the truth, and it blocks others from seeing the heart and soul of an individual.)

The Way You See It

The scenario: I see men, each man is walking bent over with the other’s foot on his back.

Question: What do you see?

Analytical Approach: The old adages, he has a foot on your back or you can’t get anywhere because someone will keep you down.

Some may know someone who does this to others. You might have done it to others or you had it done to you.

In this illustration, you may view your life this way or you may think this is how life makes others feel.

The Summation: It’s up to you. You can choose to see men keeping each other down or see men holding each other up.

Suggestion: Renew your mind. By renewing your mind, you can elevate your thinking. You can change your perception. You can see the glass half empty or see it half full.

PUMPS

I’m going to stand here until I can get someone to stop.

This is a re-post, yes, when I feel there is need to re-post, I do. My creativity has not ended, I write with a purpose. There are times I find the message is pertinent and poignant for current events and trends.

Perception

The scenario: I ran across this picture of several men. Each one was walking bent over with someone’s foot on their back. This powerful illustration have different perspectives considering how you view it.

Question: What do you see?

Perceptions: Some may know someone who does this to others, you might have done it to others, or you had it done to you. In this illustration, you may view your life this way or you may think this is how life makes others feel.

The Solution: Is this illustration of someone with his foot on the back of another or someone holding another person up? Renew your mind. By renewing your mind, you can elevate your thinking. You can change your perception.

In this photo, if you see victims, a shift in your thought process can change you from seeing an image of victims to seeing an image of men holding each other up instead of men keeping each other down.

Look a Little Closer – Perception

EYEGLASSES

Take a close look at this:  First impressions are important, but first impressions do not always tell the full story. Perception is important, but perception is not always a reality. There are times you should take a closer at what you think you see to gain a better understanding of what exist.  Keep in mind, your perception is based on limited information or a limited view. Therefore, conclusions are formed according to limited or your level of understanding. For this reason, make sure you consider all angles instead of targeting on what you perceive as what is or what isn’t.

Take a look at the pictures below. You will see what you think you see and what is…
